Department of Computer Science and Engineering was a part of the Vignan Institute of Technology and Science right from its inception in 1999 with an intake of 60. The strength was increased to 180 progressively. The Department has been offering Post graduate programme in Computer Science and Engineering since 2009 with an intake of 18.
To emerge as a premier centre for education and research in computer science and engineering and in transforming students into innovative professionals of contemporary and future technologies to cater for the global needs of human resources for IT and ITES companies.

Professional Skills: Learn the basic concepts of Computer Science and Engineering and to apply them to various areas, like Data Structures, Operating Systems, Computer Organization, Computer Networks, Information Security etc., in the design and implementation of complex systems.
Problem-Solving Skills : Solutions to complex Computer Science and Engineering problems, using latest hardware and software tools, along with analytical skills to arrive at cost effective and appropriate solutions.
Entrepreneurship skills and career management : Social-awareness & environmental-wisdom along with ethical responsibility to lead a successful career and to sustain passion and zeal for real-world applications using optimal resources as an Entrepreneur.
Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
Problem analysis: Identify, formulate review research literature and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principle of mathematics, natural science and engineering science.
Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental
Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

Dr G.Rajavikram has completed his PhD from JNTU Hyderabad in 2021. He completed his M.Tech (CSE) from JNTU CEH in 2010 and completed his B.Tech (CSE) from Kshatriya College of Engineering, Nizamabad in 2006. He has a total of teaching, research and administrative experience of 16 years. His research interests include Wireless Sensor Networks, IOT and Network Security.
