Control Systems Lab

Control Engineering has significant role in most of industries. Control system applications are assuming an increasing important role in the developing world making it crucial for the students to be exposed to contemporary equipment in realistic manner in order to connect the theoretical material taught in lecture courses with the realities of physical hard ware & simulation through higher technical computing language.

DESCRIPTION:
This lab is conducted for the undergraduate students in their second year second semester. The course covers practical experiments on time domain analysis and frequency domain analysis, determination of the transfer function of DC machines to calculate their output response for any type of input, measurement of the stator output voltage with respect to rotor position by conducting experiment on synchros, determination of the characteristics of DC servo motor and AC servo motors, study of the effect of P, PD, PI and PID controllers on a second order system.
