Power Electronics Lab

This lab aims at providing the basic concepts for Power electronic devices and their characteristics. The usage of power electronics in day to day life has increased in recent years. It is important for student to understand the fundamental principles behind all these power electronics converters. This course covers characteristics of semi conductor devices, ac/dc, dc/dc, ac/ac and dc/ac converters.

DESCRIPTION:

This lab is conducted for the undergraduate students in their third year second semester. This lab introduces the basic concepts of various power electronic devices like converters, voltage controllers and cyclo converters. The simulation Laboratory is also utilized to simulate and analyze Power electronic and drives related experiments.
